Part -Time Position: Technology Support Center Technician
Job Description
The Technology Support Center Technician reports directly to the Computer Network Manager. It is the responsibility of this position to reflect the priorities and solutions of the Director of Information Technology Services Department as given by the Computer Network Manager. The responsibilities of this position are primarily to answer helpdesk request, log and track those request, ensure the multimedia classroom hardware is operational, and assist with Technology support tasks. This position would be available for other items as assigned by the Director of Information Technology Services.- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Monitor Helpdesk, Telephones, Emails and online work orders
- Assign task received through helpdesk
- Communicate immediate needs to technicians
- Technology Support for Faculty, Staff and Students
- Support lab workstations
- Communicate with clients and technicians for scheduling tasks
- Keep I.T. Services F.A.Q. updated
- Other duties as assigned
Experience Needed
Working knowledge of Computer hardware and software including:- Demonstrated ability to learn and support current/new operating systems and applications
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Acrobat Suite
- Microsoft Operating Systems
- Ability to work with clients less knowledgeable with technology
- Familiar with multi-media software and hardware
- Clerical abilities including typing, filing and organizational skills
