Soul Care Minor

Soul care is a specialized ministry within the integration of the Christian faith and psychology. It seeks to give support and restoration to the total (holistic) well-being of a person with specific interest in one's spiritual inner- life. The practice and ministry of soul care encompasses spiritual direction, lay counseling, pastoral counseling, Christian psychotherapy, and spiritual formation disciplines.

The Soul Care minor at Bryan College gives students an experiential, theoretical, and foundational understanding to prepare for specific ministries within church and parachurch settings. Fostering one's psycho-spiritual health prepares students to care for others helping them to become conformed into the image of our Lord Jesus Christ.
