Notes; 2006 was an outstanding year for Robin Renfroe. Renfroe became the first player in Bryan College volleyball history to be named an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention, and became one of the Lions' most decorated player in history. She was NAIA Region XII All-Region First Team, NCCAA All-Mideast First Team, and All-AAC First team. The MB was the #2 blocker in the AAC, tallying 178 total blocks during the season. She also finished the season as one of the top 5 hitters in the conference, hitting .308 overall, .336 in conference. Robin is the first player to be named All-Region player of the week three weeks in a row, and was also NAIA and NCCAA player of the week as well. Renfroe was unstoppable in the middle, hitting over .400 10 times during the season. Her freshman year, the MB enjoyed a strong season as well despite a serious early-season injury.
Renfroe was an All-State Middle Blocker at American Christian Academy in Northport, Ala., where she served as the team captain her senior season. She was named The Tuscaloosa News' West Alabama Volleyball Player of the Year in 2004, was named to The Birmingham News All-State second team that same year, and was voted to the Alabama All-State first team by the Alabama Volleyball Coaches Association her sophomore, junior, and senior years.
