August 29, 2011
New seating, an improved walk, and a “wall of fame” are planned for the Bryan soccer field, with the first steps toward that goal expected to be in place by Homecoming.

“I saw Cisco in May and we said we ought to do something about seating,” Mr. Tromanhauser said. The result of those discussions is a three-phase plan to improve access to the top of the hill where some seating already is in place, add seating, clean up the area under the trees, and build a short retaining wall with a large Lion in the center and with the names of supporters listed.
“We’re planning for a 15-foot lion’s head as the centerpiece of the wall, and will list things like championships and titles as well,” he said.
One way to support the project is to buy a block for $100 to help build the wall and fund additional aspects, he said.
“Our operations staff already has taken some first steps, and we hope to have much of the first phase complete by Homecoming,” Mr. Tromanhauser said. “We have such a wonderful playing field, and our great fans really give the Lions a huge home field advantage. Now it’s time to improve seating and access for our fans.”
