College welcomes new students

Some 255 students joined the Bryan College family Aug. 25 as they moved into their residence halls and began orientation.

Once they completed the registration process in Mercer Hall, new students were greeted at their residence halls by teams of upperclassmen who quickly unloaded their vehicles – everything from a Volkswagen Beetle to a small U-Haul moving van.

Dayton Mayor Bob Vincent welcomed students to the college and the community and told them, “You have chosen well.”
Dean of Community Life Bruce Morgan said students this year have come from 11 countries and 24 states.
Classes begin Wednesday, Aug. 29, and the Spiritual Life Conference, with Eugene Cho, founder of One Day's Wages, also opens that day.
