Ben Norquist, director of faith and mission, said Mrs. Tada was invited to speak to provide a different perspective to the Bryan community. “Disability is a topic that is really hard to talk about,” he said. “Many times Christians feel awkward dealing with this subject. We want to connect the idea of knowing about disabilities and dealing with the issue in a way that honors our mission of being servants of Christ who make a difference.”
Mrs. Tada’s chapel presentation on Monday at 10 a.m. is open to the public without charge.
That talk will be followed by a luncheon for area pastors, when she will continue her discussion of disabilities and the church. Pastors interested in attending may register or may call 423.775.7561.
