The money was raised by both the men's and women's golf teams during a golf marathon held in March at Fall Creek Falls State Park to help the Women's Care Center as well as to raise money for the golf program. The money raised during the marathon will be used by the Women’s Care Center to support the Edge Program, which teaches abstinence to adolescents in the local community.

Lenita Sanders, executive director of the Women's Care Center, commented, "I am thrilled to receive the generous gift from the Bryan College Golf Team.  I know they have been raising funds for their program, and for the team to make such a generous donation to the Women's Care Center's Edge Program is a great example of the caring and compassionate hearts of those on the golf team. Their gift will be used to make a difference in the lives of the teens we serve."

Bryan Golf Coach Peter Bollant said, "We are pleased as members of the Bryan College golf program to be able to give back to our community and support a ministry that is impacting the lives of so many people. We are excited as members of the Bryan Community and followers of Christ to be able to partner with others in touching not only our community but also our world in helping to bring healing, hope, and transformation.

“It is important as athletes and coaches that we see the bigger picture of life in that athletics serves as a tool for us to be salt and light for our world. May the Lord help us all make a difference!"

The Bryan golf program has conducted similar marathons in the past to assist with various ministries that fight human trafficking.
