Bryan to host ministry, healthcare summit

Bryan College will co-host a ministry and healthcare summit Saturday, Jan.7, for area ministers, healthcare workers and social workers.
The conference is jointly hosted by Rhea Medical Center, the ministerial associations of Rhea County and Credentialed Clergy of Greater Chattanooga. It is designed to inform participants on Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) provisions, and to explore ways ministers can better interact with medical and social personnel.
During the 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. program the audience will be able to discuss issues with hospital representatives during a panel discussion and at breaks
Sponsors for the program are Rhea Medical Center, Cleveland Healthcare Systems, Erlanger Health Systems, Memorial Healthcare Systems and HCA Parkridge Medical Center.
In addition to the HIPPA discussion, the summit will include sessions on ethics, advanced directives and “Practicing and Preaching Our Way to Better Health.”
