Bryan Loses in Five

November 5, 2004

November 5 was senior night at Bryan college, and the four seniors on the squad were honored before the match. The Lady Lions played a solid match, but lost to conference leader Brevard in five games; 30-28, 18-30, 30-27, 23-30, 9-15.

The Lions led after the third game 2-1, but could not capitalize on its momentum, and Brevard kept control of the final two games, never relinquishing the score.

"I'm proud of my players for the solid effort they put forth against a very good team. We were not as sharp with our passing tonight, and Brevard took advantage of every opportunity," said Bryan's Coach Sayles.

Brevard's Marquessa Chappell finished with 18 kills, and Megan Kroeger had 60 assists. For Bryan, Randi Mellon finished with 53 assists, 14 digs, and 7 kills. Abby Humphrey finished with a double-double, 18 kills and 13 digs.
