Barlow makes All-Tournament at Olivet Nazarene Tourney

The Lady Lions found themselves underdogs at the Olivet Nazarene Open Oct. 15-16, in Bourbonnais, Ill.

The volleyball team dropped three matches to three regionally ranked teams: Olivet Nazarene, ranked third in Region VII, (16-30, 10-30, 11-30); Indiana Wesleyan University, ranked fourth in Region VIII, (22-30, 14-30, 21-30); and Trinity International University, ranked second in Region VII, (16-30, 9-30, 13-30).

The Lady Lions were overmatched throughout the weekend, but put forth solid effort in their second match against IWU Saturday morning. Kim Barlow was voted to the All-Tournament team with 16 kills and 3 blocks over the three matches. Barlow hit .388 against IWU and .250 against TIU. Randy Mellon tallied 48 total assists and 16 digs through the weekend.
