Bryan started its match against Tennessee Wesleyan with a new lineup and serve receive rotation, trying to compensate for recent injuries. Although TWC won the first game, the Lions played a decent game. Randi Mellon, who suffered an injury on Saturday, returned to her normal setting position in Game 2, and the Lions found the chemistry they lacked last week. After winning games 2 and 3 handily, TWC stayed within four through the early part of the game. After a key timeout with Bryan ahead 25-21, TWC was able to chip away at the Lions lead, and took the lead at 28-27. Bryan called time out and came back to battle one of the longer rallies of the night to tie the game at 28 all, then appeared on the brink of victory after scoring their 29th point. But TWC continued fighting, taking a 30-29 lead. Bryan connected well, with Abby Humphrey scoring a kill, then serving up to service points to end the match.

Coach Sayles was pleased the players were finally able to finish a game in extra points after a team was on the brink of victory. "We maintained our poise tonight. We are learning to play with each other, and I believe I am learning the best way to coach this group." Hopefully, the team can continue to connect during their game against TN Temple University in front of a home crowd next week.
