What to Bring
New students often request a list of items that they should bring to college. Here is a good list of basics:
It is a good idea to contact your roommate before your move so you don't end up bringing duplicate items (refigerator, telelphone, microwave etc.) We also recommend that you wait and purchase some of the bigger items after you arrive. We have a Super-Walmart close by.

What to bring:
- Sheets* -extra long twin mattresses are 39"x 80"& 7"thick
- Alarm Clock
- Clothes hangers
- Laundry bag/basket
- Laundry detergent, dryer sheets
- Pillow, sheets and blankets for a twin bed (39" x 80" x 7" thick mattress)
- Power Strips with a surge protector
- Telephone (Bryan provides voicemail services)
- Towels, soap, shampoo
- Wastebasket
Somethings you might want to bring are:
- Adhesive hooks or tacky adhesive
- Area rug
- Bicycle and lock (racks available on campus)
- Can opener
- Chip clips
- Comforter
- Computer and printer
- Dish towel, dish soap
- Eating utensils for snacks
- Ethernet cord for computer
- Fan
- Headrest pillow
- Iron (must have auto shut-off)
- Lamps (bedside or clamp-on extension)
- Laundry marking pen and stain remover
- Lounge chair
- Mattress pad
- Memo board for your door
- Microwave (small)
- Plants
- Plastic bowl and cup
- Refrigerator (small)
- Sewing kit
- Small bucket or other container for toiletries
- Stero/headphones
- Storage crates or boxes
- Toolkit
- TV (with antennae)
- VCR
- Wall decorations, poster
Things NOT permitted are:
- Airsoft guns
- Coffeemakers, George Foreman grills, irons or any othe electrical device that does not have an autmatic shutoff.
- Any appliance with exposed heating coils
- Halogen lights
- Toaster/Toaster ovens
- Oil popcorn poppers
- Pets (except fish)
