Internationally acclaimed duo-pianists Gloria Chien and Ning An will present a program of classical masterpieces as the opening concert of the Bryan College Music Concert Series Sept. 29.
The husband and wife team, who are artist-in-residence and assistant professor of music, respectively, at Lee University, have won critical acclaim internationally for their individual as well as duo-piano performances.
Mr. An this summer won the inaugural Tivoli International Piano Competition in Denmark. Dr. Chien won both divisions of the national piano competition in her native Taiwan, and is a grand prize winner of the world piano competition, as well as the Harvard Musical Association Award among other honors.
The Bryan concert will feature works by Bach, Chopin, Schubert, Lutoslawski and Milhaud.
The 7:30 p.m. concert in Bryan’s Rudd Auditorium is open to the public without charge.
