Bollant AAC women's basketball Coach of the Year

     Matt BollantBryan women’s basketball Coach Matt Bollant has been named co-Coach of the Year in the Appalachian Athletic Conference after his team won their second consecutive AAC regular-season championship and secured their fourth consecutive trip to the NAIA national championship tournament. Coach Bollant shares the conference honor with Coach Michelle Williams of King College.
     “This is a team award, not a one-person award,” Coach Bollant said. “It’s an award for the players, the assistant coaches and the program. I’m excited for our program and for the recognition this brings our program. All glory to God.”
     In addition to the coach, post-season honors have gone to three of his players.Brittany Swanson
     Brittany Swanson, a forward, earned her second consecutive conference Player of the Year award. The senior from Tellico Plains, Tenn., is joined on the All Conference first team by teammate Kellie Thurman, a junior forward from Livingston, Tenn.
     Sophomore guard Katie Davis, from Oliver Springs, Tenn., was named to the All Conference third team.
