Beisner to speak on biblical environmental stewardship

A spokesman for the Interfaith Stewardship Alliance, a coalition of religious leaders, scientists and policy experts focused on issues of the environment and development, will speak at Bryan College April 16.
Dr. E. Calvin Beisner, associate professor of historical theology and social ethics at Knox Theological Seminary in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., will speak on a biblical response to environmental stewardship, including the issue of global warming.
Dr. Beisner was the principal author of the Interfaith Council on Environmental Stewardship’s flagship publication, The Cornwall Declaration on Environmental Stewardship, and of the Protestant chapter in the book Environmental Stewardship in the Judeo-Christian Tradition: Jewish, Catholic, and Protestant Wisdom on the Environment.
Dr. Beisner, whose son, David, is a junior at Bryan, will speak in Rudd Auditorium at 11 a.m.
