Johnson City, TN - The final day of competition at the NAIA Indoor Championships was a great success for the Bryan College track and field team as three athletes garnered All-American status.
Starting off the day was sophomore Daniel Goetz as he finished fourth in the men's mile with a new indoor school record of 4:14.92.
The men's 800 meter race saw Zach Mobley and Josh Bradley finish 2nd and 5th with times of 1:54.72 and 1:55.56.
All three of the All-American athletes came back to compete in the men's distance medley relay and finished 7th with a time of 10:27.79, well off their Thursday prelim of 10:06.47.
"It was a great day for our young athletes. I'm very proud of their efforts through the weekend. Goetz ran very well and he put himself in the race from the gun. Mobley had a chance to win it, but came up just a little short. Both he and Bradley ran pretty fast off a slow first 500 meters. Three All-Americans puts us on the map and leaves our program wanting more." Said coach Rodney Stoker.
Azusa Pacific claimed the team championship with 64.75 points, just ahead of runner-up Oklahoma Baptist's 64. Bryan finished in a tie for 18th with Lindenwood at 14 points.
The track and field team will open their outdoor season at the Alabama Relays on March 28th and 29th.
