A word that best describes you: Processing
Favorite quote: “If a man is called to be a streetsweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts or heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great streetsweeper who did his job well.” ~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Favorite food: Give me pretty much anything Mexican and I’ll be happy.
Favorite tv show or movie: Lost, Law & Order, The Godfather I and II, Man on Fire, The Apostle and Batman Begins
Favorite music or band: Rich Mullins, Coldplay, Switchfoot, U2
What are your passions: Seeing growth take place in the lives of believers. We must get away from the notion that our faith stops growing at a certain age or is only confined to Sundays.
What do you like about being a resident director at Bryan: I love the fact that I get to live out my life as a Christian man in front of young men who are changing and growing by the day. To have the constant opportunity to speak into their lives is humbling.
Interesting fact about your building: H.D. Long, built in 1964, was originally built as a men’s residence hall, but has spent more time serving as a women’s residence hall. The building changed back to a full-time men’s hall in the fall of 2006.
Best residence life memory from college: Living daily in the midst of the smorgasbord of personalities and backgrounds that is called “community," late-night conversations with friends on both the trivial and the critical, the annual Bryan vs. Covenant soccer game, taking part in "Hide-the-Food Night" and a certain episode that involved a baby possum.
Any random fact about yourself: I’ve chased a moose and I have around 125 Pez dispensers.
What you love about Bryan and its students: I believe Bryan is special because it encourages students to grow holistically in all aspects of life. Students don’t leave with just a book knowledge of their major but hopefully with an accurate understanding of the world around them and a better idea of who they are as people. Our students are some of the most energetic and interesting people I've ever met.
