Favorite Bible verse: I'd have to pick one randomly. And I once heard a story about some famous Christian guy who did that, then autographed a bunch of stuff with that verse only to find out it said something like "I have a terrible disease in my loins." (It was somewhere in Isaiah. You should look it up.)
Favorite book: The Kite Runner is up there... so is Evolving in Monkey Town.
Favorite quote: "Perhaps Jesus is safely dead and buried. It is amusing to think that once in history that phrase might have been uttered with complete conviction, and that was on the eve of the Resurrection." – Dorothy Sayers
Where I want to travel: EVERYWHERE
Something I want to do before I die: Make a living with music.
A famous person I've met: hmm... Dan Haseltine of Jars of Clay?
A random fact about myself: I can lick my elbow.
Why I wanted to become an RA: Early my sophomore year, my RA (Nick Pacurari) approached me and asked if I’d be interested in becoming an RA for the next year. That started my thinking process, and I realized that I really did want to pursue it. I truly love deep, honest conversations with other guys; and I've found that in some ways I attract such conversations. Mostly, I believe God placed it on my heart to apply for the position.
What I love about Bryan: I love the honest desire to serve God that seems prevalent among most of the faculty and within the student body. There is a genuine sense that authority figures at Bryan want you to do well. I also like the effort Bryan in general goes to in order to welcome new students. Not everything about Bryan is perfect, but I believe God has a very special purpose for this beloved college. What I love most is that the majority of the people there want to see that purpose fulfilled.
Luke is a senior and beginning his second year serving as a Resident Assistant.
