Alumna of the Year 2007

Jackie Perseghetti, Class of 1982

 . 

Jackie is a wife and mother, has been married to her husband for more than 23 years, and home schooled their two children, one of whom is a college graduate and the other is a junior in college.

 
Jackie is a prolific author who has written a best-selling devotional book and its sequel, followed this year by another devotional series. In between, she has contributed articles and stories to Clubhouse, Single Parent, Godly Businesswoman, Evangelizing Today’s Child, Hearts at Home, and Kids Pray magazines, as well as developing curriculum Bible lessons, primary church and vacation Bible school units.
 
She has led workshops at national conferences, spoken at young author days for public and private schools, mother-daughter banquets and has done live radio interviews and call-in shows.
 
Jackie has managed to accomplish all this while serving as a volunteer worker for Girl Scouts, 4-H, a soup kitchen, AWANA, playing drums for her church worship team and a Christian Big Band group, and serving as a marriage mentor to young women.
 
Our Alumna of the Year is a 1982 graduate of Bryan College who earned her degee in Christian Education, and was a member of the “Red Beret Club.” She said not to ask about that one. She has stayed in touch with Bryan through the years, hosting Worldview Team visits to her hometown as well as other students at various breaks in the school year. Her daughter is a member of the Class of 2007, and our honoree has just been elected president of the Dayton, Ohio, Bryan Alumni chapter.
