FAQ: eCams Security Settings
If you get an error when you try to log into eCAMS, your Internet Explorer 7 settings have been changed by a Microsoft update. The following instructions will guide you through setting your browser to work with eCAMS again. Please feel free to contact the IT Services Helpdesk if you need assistance.
Click “Tools”

Click “Internet Options”

Click “Settings”

Make sure the “Check for newer versions of stored pages” option is set to “Every time I visit the webpage”
“Disk space to use” should be set to “1000”
Click “OK”

Click on the “Security” tab
Click “Trusted Sites”
Make sure “Enable Protected Mode” is not checked

Check the “Security level.” If it is set to something other than “Low,” click “Custom Level…”
Reset to: Low
Then click “Reset …”

Click “Yes” on the Warning!

Click on the “Advanced” tab
Scroll down to “Empty Temporary Internet Files” and make sure it’s checked
Click “Apply”
Click “OK” on the message about settings being managed by your system administrator
Click “OK” to close the Internet Options window
Scroll down to “Empty Temporary Internet Files” and make sure it’s checked
Click “Apply”
Click “OK” on the message about settings being managed by your system administrator
