Bryan 6, Crown College 0

Bryan defended its home field Friday night with a 6-0 win over Crown College from Knoxville, TN.  In a dominant performance, five different Lion players scored in a variety of different attacking combinations.
In just the eighth minute of play, Tyler Cheek opened the scoring off a service from Luke Schaeffer.  Just three minutes later, Ben Whitley fed a through ball to Tyler Cheek who finished off the play with his second goal of the game.  With almost thirty minutes gone in the match, consistent goal-scorer Ben Whitley scored off an assist from Drew Goodman.  Dan Pinckney stepped up to convert a penalty kick after Zach Scalf was taken down in the box, to finish the scoring in the first half.

In the second half, Bryan continued to play well and twenty minutes in, Zach Scalf ran on to a through ball from Brian Alfano and finished well.  With eleven minutes remaining in the match, Seth Flores beat the keeper on the dribble and coolly slotted the ball in the open net to close out the scoring for the Lions.

The Lions are now 5-1-1 on the season and play at Tennessee Wesleyan on Monday, October 8th, at 5:00 pm.
