Lions Get Big Win Over #4 Union On Senior Night, 63-51

                Dayton, TN— It was Senior Night on Tuesday at Bryan College and after honoring Thomas Davis and Mike Lytle, the Lions took it to the Union College Bulldogs, getting their second win in a row in front of their home crowd. In their last home game of the season, the Lions jumped out to an 11-2 lead in the opening minutes and never looked back, defeating the Bulldogs by a final score of 63-51.
                The Lions got double-figure scoring from 3 players and Mike Lytle narrowly missed a triple-double in a dominating performance for the home team. Bryan limited the Bulldogs to less than 40% shooting and limited Union’s leading scorer Aaron Dunaway to just 8 points for the night.  The Lions shot less than 40% as well, but out-rebounded the Bulldogs by 4, and forced 16 turnovers to defeat the AAC’s #4 team.
                Charlie Lytle led the Lions with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Cody Christopher added 11 points in the victory. Damond Craig poured in 12 points for Bryan and Mike Lytle finished with 7 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Bryan led by 5 at the break and extended their lead in the second half, forcing Union to foul and converting their free throws down the stretch for the 12 point victory.
                The win pushes the Lions to 11-17 overall and 5-12 in conference play. Bryan now travels to Bristol, VA on Saturday and will look to defeat the King College Tornado in their final game of the regular season. The Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament begins next Wednesday in Bristol, TN.
