DAYTON, TN -- The Lady Lions announced that seniors Katie Davis (Harriman, TN/Oliver Springs HS) and Kaylin Carswell (Lenoir, NC/West Caldwell HS), along with junior Wendy Vork (Kingston, ID/Merced C.C.) will serve as tri-captains for the 2008-09 basketball season. Davis and Carswell served in that leadership capacity last season, while Vork begins her first year as a captain. “Kaylin and Katie did an outstanding job last year as captains”, said head coach Jamy Bechler. “They are greatly respected and very good players as well. We are also extremely pleased to have Wendy join the leadership team this season. When the team voted this year, it was very apparent that her teammates respected her example, character, hard work and abilities. She has played well in open gyms and led us during conditioning. All three of these young ladies embody what Lady Lions Basketball is all about.”
