September 10, 2008Bryan 2, Brewton-Parker 1
The Lions traveled to take on Brewton-Parker today to improve to 5-0. It was a hard fought match by both teams. In the first half Raphael Correa found the back of the net, off an assist from Jonathan Houghton, for the only goal of the half. About halfway throught the second half Brewton-Parker scored an equalizing goal. With 5 minutes left to go the Lions were awarded a penalty kick, and Carlos (Jota) Pedro da Silva put it in the back of the net for the winning goal. It was an exciting win for the Lions and Coach Zensen was happy with the outcome. The guys will come home for a day and then head out Friday for their 2:00 game on Saturday at Asbury.
