The Lions won their first conference match tonight over King College. Lyle Gifford scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Adam Loga in the 66th minute. Loga played a through-ball to Gifford, who was a able to place a beautifully chipped shot over the keeper and into the back side netting. The Lions were missing 3 guys, out of the 5 defensive positions, who have been starting this season. Jonathan Houghton, Joe Kane, Daniel "Kiwi" O'Kane, David Villanueva, and keeper Josh Courtright made up the defensive linup for tonight. They all played a great game keeping King out of the back of the net. The Lions are now 6-0-1 and 1-0 in conference play. Their next game will be on Wednesday at 5:00 at Covenant College.
