Game Recaps
September 24, 2008Bryan 2, Covenant 0
The Lions took care of business tonight against the rival Scots. Bryan scored both goals in the first half - the first by Giovani Andrades, and the second by Raphael Correa. The match was fairly even as the Lions outshot the Scots 10 to 8. It took Bryan a few minutes to settle in as the Scots came out hard at the begining of the game and were controlling the ball. However, about 15 minutes in the Lions started playing much better. Covenant also put the pressure on toward the end of the game, but Bryan's defense held strong to keep the shutout. "Its a tough place to play and I'm happy with getting the win there," commented Coach Zensen after the game. It was a great match between the two schools, as both teams played hard and with a lot of passion. The fans were wearing their school colors with faces painted, and cheered back and forth throughout the entire game. The Lions are now 2-0 in the conference, 7-0-1 overall, and will play at Mountain State University on Saturday at 7:30.
