October 28, 2008The Bryan Lions Men's Soccer Team received both AAC Players of the Week for the week of October 19-25. Jacobo Gallardo was named Offensive Player of the Week, while Nate McCown was named Defensive Player of the Week. The Lions went 1-1 last week with the win over Montreat, clinching the Regular Season Championship for them. Gallardo scored the first goal of the game in the 8th minute, and helped control the midfield for the Lions. McCown, a senior captain, anchored the defense with his leadership and organization skills but also added a goal himself in the win over Montreat. These two will look to help lead the Lions into tournament play starting this weekend. Bryan will compete against Bluefield on Saturday at 7:30 PM EST.
