The Lions were given their first loss of the season by nonconference opponent Tusculum College. Tusculum is currently ranked #7 in the nation in Division II of the NCAA, and has a record of 11-1-1. Bryan struck first in the 4th minute of the game as Adam Loga served a cross to Carlos “Jota” Pedro da Silva. Jota then headed the ball to Raphael Correa, who placed it just inside the far post. Tusculum did not give up and scored 2 goals in the first half, the first in the 24th minute and the second in the 37th minute. Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second half. Tusculum outshot Bryan 16-7 for the game. Bryan keeper Josh Courtright tallied 5 saves for the game. The Lions are now 10-1-1 and will look to remain undefeated in the conference as they travel to take on Union College this Wednesday. The game is scheduled to kick off at 4:00 PM EST.
