Bryan 1, Covenant 2 (OT)

The Lions' season was ended Friday night in an overtime loss to the Scots.  Covenant scored the only goal in the first half on a penalty kick.  In the second half, the Scots packed it in making it hard for the Lions offense to get into a scoring position.  Late in the second half, Covenant was awarded another penalty kick but it was shot over the goal.  Minutes later the Lions were awarded a penalty kick as Lyle Gifford was clipped from behind in the box.  Carlos "Jota" Pedro da Silva placed the penalty kick into the back of the net to tie the game.  Regulation ended with the score 1-1 forcing golden-goal overtime.  With 8 minutes left in the first overtime, a ball was played in the air in front of the goal. After several collisions, Covenant found the back of the net and ended the game.
The Lions had a very successful season, finishing with a record of 12-4-2 and winning the AAC Regular Season Championship.
