Christian Ministry + Academic Programs + Academics

The Department of Christian Ministry provides the professional educational component for prospective Christian leaders to prepare for service in a variety of church and parachurch positions. The Department works with other departments and programs on and off campus to provide the necessary experiences that prepare individuals for Christian Ministry positions.

Educational Objectives

  • To prepare individuals to become competent Christian Ministry professionals in a variety of local church and parachurch settings.
  • To equip students to evaluate and apply a variety of educational and psychological theories from the perspective of a Biblical worldview.
  • To offer electives to majors in other fields who wish to prepare themselves for more effective service in local church and parachurch settings.
  • To prepare graduating students to successfully build upon their Christian ministry foundation through graduate and vocational training.
  • To prepare graduating students to function as leaders in local churches and parachurch organizations by equipping them with foundational leadership skills.
