Economics is the study of the way society uses its limited resources to produce the goods and services that it needs. As such, it provides a logical method of analyzing the trade-offs involved in the decision-making process. These individuals are concerned with how to determine the costs, benefits, and consequences of using and distributing resources in a particular manner.

Finance focuses on all aspects of money management, such as investment, collection, disbursement, borrowing, and fund-raising. In this field, individuals oversee the flow of cash and investments and develop information to assess the present and future financial success of an organization.

All of the courses in the business program at Bryan--especially the economics and finance courses--are presented from a free-market, limited government, pro-capitalism point of view.
