Athletic Facilities

Summers Gymnasium

With a seating capacity of 1,000, this building was constructed as the first unit in a physical education and intramural/intercollegiate sports complex. The building includes a college tournament-size rubber-cushioned, floating, maple hardwood basketball playing floor, auxiliary facilities, and locker and shower rooms. In the summer of 1982, an annex was added to the front of the gym which provided a more spacious lobby, four offices, an athletic training room, and additional storage areas and rest rooms.

Soccer Field

A new varsity soccer field was constructed in 1995. This Bermuda grass field is regulation size. Two practice fields are nearby.

Tennis Courts

The four tennis courts with Laykoid surface meet the specifications of the U.S. Lawn Tennis Association. Two courts are lighted for night use.

Swimming Pool

The 40' by 100' foot swimming pool was completed in 1989. The pool has widespread use by the students and has attracted a large number of summer conference groups to the campus.

Baseball Field

The men's baseball field was completed in the spring of 2002 and was donated by the Senter family, long-time friends of the college.
