MLK Community Service Day

Since January 2005, classes at Bryan have been canceled on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in honor of a great man who had a vision for community members serving each other. Armed with rakes, windex, and bagged lunches, students and their professors volunteer on community service projects across Rhea County.
While projects practically help families, churches, and non-profit groups, they also kindle the unique excitement as over six hundred people pull on their work clothes together and meet their neighbors.
