Bryan College Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Mr. Peter Bollant to serve as part-time head coach for men's and women's golf. Peter comes to us from Davao City, Philippines, where he has served in the mission field since 1984. Peter was a member of various golf teams throughout high school and college and has served as a golf instructor in both Minnesota and the Philippines.

"I am extremely excited about coming to Bryan to help develop men's and women's golf teams. My own children will be attending this great school," said Coach Bollant. "My brother Matt coached basketball at Bryan, and I know what a great school it is. I know that Bryan's atmosphere and worldview is one of the best in the country, and it will be an extreme pleasure to help bring young men and women to the college not only to play golf, but also to be part of an education experience that will equip them to be world changers."

"I believe," Coach Bollant continued, "Bryan to be one of the few colleges left in the USA that still has both the vision and the tools to make this difference in the lives of young people. My hope and prayer is that our golf teams will not only show excellence but also that the competitive ability mixed with proper values will prepare these young men and women to go out and impact our world. I believe we can and will make a difference."

Since golf is a new intercollegiate sport at Bryan, Coach Bollant will spend his first year recruiting and organizing the program. The teams will begin competing during the 2010-2011 school year. "I am delighted that Peter has agreed to join the Bryan family," said Bryan Athletic Director Sandy Zensen, "He has the experience as a high school and collegiate golfer to understand the concerns of prospective student-athletes, and continues to demonstrate his skills on the links. I believe he will be a tremendous asset to the program and college."

The Bollant family currently resides in the Philippines and will arrive at Bryan in August when Peter will begin preparations for the 2010-2011 opening season.
