Special Events Coordinator
Hi! My name is Kimberle "Kim" Tuttle! I am the Special Events and Campus Visit Coordinator here at Bryan College.
I often tell people that as a child, I learned the word "college" with the word "Bryan" in front of it. My mother attended Bryan and loved her time here. Very early on, she began instilling that love in me. During a Caravan visit (now known as Illuminate), I had an opportunity to gain a hands-on perspective that changed a general love for the beautiful campus and surroundings into a specific love for the quality Christian educational experience Bryan offers!
I graduated from Bryan in 1984, with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education. After working for a time in the building business, I accepted a calling into children's ministry. I served two churches as a weekday children's ministry coordinator and children's minister for 13+ years. I was well prepared to step into these positions and often thanked my Father for allowing me to attend Bryan College which provided me with the perfect skills to minister to children and their families.
In the small classroom settings, I grew in knowledge and learned how to use and apply that knowledge. But, my education at Bryan far surpassed what I learned in my classes. Having grown up in a small town, God used Bryan's worldview perspective to teach me that He is involved in a world that may be beyond my view, but is never beyond my reach. Relationships with faculty, students and staff were deep and meaningful – some of which continue even today!
"Christ above all," our school motto, became more than just a catchy phrase. I learned that in putting Christ first in every aspect of my life, I have contentment, I find success (even through failure), and I experience abundant life. Learning to do everything as unto the Lord, helped me understand that excellence in performance of my job earns the respect of Christians and non-Christians alike. This respect earns the opportunity to share one’s faith in Christ and allows opportunities to stand for His Truth.
My son attends Bryan College and just as Jesus, "increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and with people," it is my prayer that he enjoys all of the benefits of a being a student here at Bryan.
