The Bryan College men's soccer team has been selected as the preseason favorite to win the Appalachian Athletic Conference this fall. They received all seven of the first-place votes, with a total of 56 points.

Soccer team at practice for upcoming season
The men's soccer team won the 2008 AAC regular season championship. The Lions will return 1st Team All-Conference player Daniel O'Kane (JR), 2nd Team All-Conference player Jacobo Gallardo (JR), and 3rd Team All-Conference player Jonathan Houghton (SO). These three will help lead the team in their efforts toward the 2009 conference championship.

"We are glad for the recognition, but we still have to prove that we are worthy of the number one position. There is a long season ahead of us, and there are some fine teams in the Appalachian Athletic Conference that will challenge us for that top spot," commented Head Coach Sandy Zensen.
