Davidson, McCown Honored By NAIA
November 4, 2007
Dayton, TN-- The NAIA has just released its' First Team All Region XII Selections, and Bryan College has landed two standouts on the list. Seniors Scott Davidson and Nate McCown, who also garnered First Team Appalachian Athletic Conference honors earlier this year, stood out for Head Coach Sandy Zensen all season long.
Davidson led the team in goals this season and ranked among the top goal scorers in the entire conference. Scott, a fan favorite, finished his career with 47 career goals, and will be remembered as one of the most fiery competitors ever to step on the field at Bryan. McCown, a defender, doesn't have the stats that Davidson does, but defenders don't often get the glory. Most of McCown's best work will never show up in the stat book, but opposing teams were always aware of the fact that goals would be hard to come by when McCown was in the back. Both of these great athletes have led both vocally and by example, and when they are gone, their mark will remain on the soccer program at Bryan.
