Dr. Paul Boling
taught a course on worldview and history of philosophy during fall break at Saints Bible Institute, San Lorenzo, Italy.

Dr. Gary Fitsimmons attended the annual TICUA Library Director Meeting, serving as a panelist on “Open Access as Scholarly Communication.” His recently published article: “Being known as a problem solver” published originally in The Bottom Line as an installment of a Library Leadership column, was featured in the September issue of The Informed Librarian Online, a librarian’s current awareness service.

Mrs. Vonnie Johnson, public services librarian, attended the Tennessee Information Resource Sharing Consortium (Tenn-Share) fall conference in Nashville October 29. She also attended the pre-conference on October 28 featuring presentations by various online library database vendors.

Dr Scott Jones and Dr. Drew Randle attended the North American Professors of Christian Education (NAPCE) annual conference on October 21-23. The conference was held at the historic Brown Hotel in Louisville, KY. The theme for the conference was “Rethinking Church: Renewing Christian Formation.” The two plenary speakers were Dr. Scot McKnight, professor in religious studies at North Park University, and Pastor Mike Erre, lead pastor for Mariners Church Mission Viejo.

  • December 3-4 – Chair, Summit Ministries board meeting, Colorado Springs, CO

Dr. Dwight Page gave the report on publications at the annual meeting of the Swiss American Historical Society on Saturday, October 9, at the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Danielle Rebman, assistant director of spiritual formation, attended the annual Forum for Short Term Missions Leaders held in Green Lake, Wisconsin, October 13-16.

Dr. Travis Ricketts was a participant in the Free Market Forum, September 28-30, Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, Michigan.

Mrs. Tami Tullberg, bookstore manager, and Ms. Jan Green, bookstore assistant, attended the annual TACS (Tennessee Association of College Stores) meeting/trade show on September 27-29 in Nashville. Tami accepted the nomination as President of the Board of TACS for 2010-2011 and looks forward to representing Bryan College in this association.

Mr. Ben Williams attended the National Conference on Christian Apologetics in Charlotte, North Carolina, on October 15-16, with students enrolled in CLF: Apologetics & the Redemptive Life.  Read more»

Ms. Bonnie-Marie Yager presented testimony to the Tennessee Select Committee on Children and Youth on October 20 in Chattanooga. She shared about Bryan College's efforts in fighting human trafficking and the role education and the lay community can have in this issue for the state of Tennessee.
