Bryan College music students will showcase their talents Fri-Sat, Nov. 19-20, as Mrs. Kim Keck’s opera workshop students will present a program of opera scenes.

Mrs. Keck explained that her younger students will present scenes from Classical and Romantic operas in the first half of the program. Older students will present longer scenes in the second half.

“Opera workshop not only helps students with characterization but with voice development,” she said. “The first half of our program gives younger singers the opportunity to get stage experience; the second half is for the more advanced students to push themselves musically and dramatically.”

Admission to the program, which will be presented in Brock Hall at 7:30 both nights will be a canned good, which will be donated to the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Senior Citizens Awareness Network.
