Keep in touch on 'Community Friends' page
January 14, 2011
Friends of the college—particularly those in the Rhea County area—now have a one-stop location to keep up with what’s happening at Bryan, as the “Community Friends” page is now available on the college’s website.
Corinne Livesay, director of web communications, said the idea for the page came from a discussion among members of the president’s cabinet. “They wanted a place that friends from the local community could easily find information such as dining hall hours, how to get a ticket for a concert or play, or learn what activities are available for their children, such as sports camps or music lessons,” she said. “They wanted to put all the information in one spot so our friends don’t have to go all over the website to find what they need.”
The page has three main sections: Things To Do on Campus, Join Us for a Meal in Our Dining Hall, and Learn How Bryan and the Local Community Work Together. Under these headings are links to resources describing everything from the display of state capitols to library check-out policies, to dining room schedules and meal prices, and scholarships offered to local students.
“We want this page to be something to help keep our friends up to date with what’s happening on campus in a way that is convenient for them,” Mrs. Livesay said.
