Senior guard Sarah Bass scored 13sbass.jpg points as the Lady Lions defeated

Milligan Tuesday, Feb. 15, passing 2,000 career points and joined her twin sister on that elite plateau.

Sarah came into the game with 1,999 and ended the game with 2,012, and dished out nine assists as the Lady Lions upped their season record to 22-7, 18-3 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

Coach Matt Bollant said, “Sarah has had an amazing senior year for us. She is shooting 56 percent from the floor which is amazing for a guard. Sarah and Liz will go down as two of the best players ever to play at Bryan. It has been an honor to coach them both.

Early this season her sister, Liz, passed the 2,000-point mark. She scored 19 points against Milligan to bring her season total to 2,327, 36 points from the record held by Shannon Law Dancilla, who played from 1984-1988.

The Lady Lions have one regular season game before the AAC tournament beginning Feb. 23.
