ASC Tutors

Mike Bautista
Hey guys! I'm Mike Bautista, and I am a Junior. I will be available for tutoring in the subjects of Science and Spanish. Growing up in Spain as a missionary kid I have become fluent in Spanish. I am also a Biology major with a Pre-Medical emphasis. Lord willing, I am hoping to get into medical school one day. I really appreciate what the Bryan ASC stands for and I would love to get to help you as we all pursue academic excellence. See you soon!

Rebecca Bodine
I am Sophomore Mathematics major. I love tutoring calculus and pre-calculus, but I will do my best to make any type of math fun for you. I also enjoy coffee, laughing, discussing philosophy, and listening to friends play the guitar. Please come see me in the ASC – I truly love to help you understand math!

Kelly Findley
I'm in my 3rd year at Bryan as a Math major. I've loved math ever since I can remember, and I especially enjoy the challenge of solving number-related word problems. I don't plan on teaching math after graduation, but I love working with others on learning math. I also like to play the piano, keep up with the news, and watch a good movie with my bowl of cereal.

Matthew Green
My name is Matthew Green. I am a Christian Ministry major and Bible minor from Kingston, TN. I enjoy studying, researching, and helping others with questions about the Bible and theology. I can help with any class from the Christian Studies Division, from the core classes to the upper level courses.  Also, if you have any questions about Turabian style formatting for essays or research papers, I can answer those questions. Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you!

 Trevor Haught
Hey there!  I've been a tutor here since I've been at Bryan—I'm a Senior—and have really enjoyed the opportunity to help students in their journey of learning French.  I lived in French-speaking Africa and French-speaking Belgium for eight years and also attended Belgian school for a semester.  Working here has helped me keep my French current, and I love the whole concept of the ASC.  I hope to see you soon!

Bryson Harper
I am a Senior Exercise and Health Science major and I will be attending graduate school for physical therapy after Bryan.  I enjoy running and it takes up a lot of my time, but I'm offering my help if you are struggling in Anatomy, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition or anything related to the human sciences.  Come see me and I will do my very best to get you on the right track.

Lindsay Haynes
I am a Junior Biology (Pre-Med) major, and I plan on attending medical school after Bryan. I tutor in both English and Science. Within all the scientific disciplines, I particularly enjoy cellular biology, chemistry, and anatomy and physiology. In regards to English, I love any part of the writing process, but especially the final stages of editing. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hanging out with family and friends, and learning what I can about medicine.

Ethan Hickey
I am a Junior biology major planning on going into Chemistry after I graduate. I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC until my family became missionaries to Guayaquil, Ecuador. We lived there for two years right before I came to Bryan. I have always liked science, but at Bryan I have really fallen in love with Chemistry. I love tutoring because I enjoy helping others learn, and because I ultimately want to become a professor along with doing research. Stop by if you need any help with Chemistry!

Bethany Little
I'm a Sophomore here at Bryan double-majoring in English and Spanish, both Secondary Education. I grew up speaking Spanish, and have found that it's helpful in so many ways!  I'd love to help you get a good grasp of this language, so come on by.

Yuri Lopez
I'm an exercise and health science major. I love to play soccer, dance, and help others. Spanish is my first language, and when I was three years old, I started to learn English. I started working here two years ago. I like to help everyone, so sign up if you need help with your Spanish homework or if you want to have a conversation in Spanish. I will be in the ASC waiting for you.

Shannon McGowan
I am a Senior History and Politics and Government major.  I plan on traveling after graduation either with a missions organization or the Peace Corps.  Hopefully, I will be able to work internationally with Non-government relief or missions organizations or with the US government.  I love (almost) all of history.  My favorite periods are the post-revolution/pre-constitutional era of American history, American political history, Modern European history and World War II.

Josiah Newport
I am a Junior History major. I play soccer and spend hours researching in the library. When I was 16, my family moved to France as missionaries. That is why I speak French and why I know it so well. My job at the ASC is to help you speak better French.

Scott Rieckhoff
My name is Scott Rieckhoff. I am a sophomore majoring in Mathematics w/ a Secondary Licensure (Which is simply a fancy way of saying I want to teach math). I'm here to help you with any of the math classes that are offered here at Bryan. Whether you are looking to understand the mathematical mysteries of the universe or simply trying to pass your math class, I can help you. I am fluent in layman's terms.

Lee Rickman
I find it fascinating to trace the life and times of people throughout the past. In order to know where we are going, we need to know where we have been. Aside from history, I play Varsity soccer, love basketball, and would almost always rather be fishing. Work hard in all you do, serve Jesus, and let the chips fall as they may.

Alexandra Rogers
I'm a Sophomore Biology major who loves to explore God's creation! Come see me if you have questions about your science courses. I love helping students understand more about the world around us. I also love hiking, reading, traveling, long conversations, and dissecting dead things. For all of you freshmen biology majors: I was in your shoes just last year, and receiving help from older students was a great help to me. Let's talk about how to approach that chemistry problem, or how to attack that next Hartzell test! Most importantly, let's learn about God's handiwork so we can praise Him for it. See ya in the ASC!

Faithe Stout
Hi, my name is Faithe Stout and I am a Spanish Major. This is my fifth year of studying Spanish and I have taken Elem. and Intermediate Spanish at Bryan. I truly love the language and would love to help anyone with any homework, study tips, presentations, papers, or pronunciation. Bring your assignments or just come practice your speaking skills. I would love to help!

"Wilky" Matthew Wilkinson
Hey guys! I am a junior Biblical Studies major with minors in Greek and Biblical Languages. I am from Chattanooga, TN and I absolutely love languages. I plan to be a high school Bible/Greek/Language teacher when I graduate. I love to teach and I love learning, if you need help with Greek or Hebrew, come see me!
