Bryan College is inviting alumni and friends to show their support on the highway by purchasing Bryan specialty license plates for their vehicles.

The plates, available for $35 plus the regular registration cost, feature the school colors of red and gold; the college motto, “Christ Above All;” and the school logo.

“We are nearly halfway to the state-set minimum order of 100 tags,” said David Beisner, who is coordinating the project. “We need commitments from alumni and friends to make this become a reality. We’ll bill those who sign up when we place the order with the state, but the important thing now is to reach at least that minimum goal.”

“Once the order is placed, it will take the state three to four months to produce the plates,” Mr. Beisner said. “The plates will be delivered to the county clerk’s office in each county where we receive orders from, and can be picked up there.”

Personalized plates will be available after the initial order. “Personalized plates would delay delivery by a month or so, so we don’t want to do that with the first order,” he said.
