Part-Time Adjunct Faculty: School of Adult and Graduate Studies

Program Information

Bryan College has developed their undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Adult and Graduate Studies (AGS) to meet the needs of adults. Each cohort group generally attends class one night per week on a year-round basis allowing students to complete their degree program at an accelerated pace. The curriculum is designed to help students accomplish their personal, professional, and educational goals and prepare them to be more effective in their chosen profession or area of ministry. Position Description

Bryan College AGS seeks applications from persons who possess a terminal degree interested in part-time adjunct teaching positions in our onsite graduate business programs (MBA) in the Chattanooga and Knoxville regions. Qualified terminally degreed candidates must possess 18 graduate hours in any of the following business disciplines:  Accounting, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Leadership, or Marketing. 

Bryan College AGS also seeks applications from persons interested in part-time adjunct teaching positions in our onsite or online undergraduate programs. Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in any of the following disciplines:  Mathematics, History, Music or Science. 
It is expected that part-time adjunct faculty will be qualified to teach courses while integrating a Christian worldview.

General Responsibilities

Teaching assignments are generally in the evening, on weekends, and online. Standardized curriculum provides faculty with the necessary resources while allowing for flexibility. A high priority is placed on individual student/teacher interaction and mentoring.

Qualifications

Undergraduate faculty should possess at minimum a master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a field of study appropriate to the particular degree program. Likewise, faculty desiring to teach at the graduate level should possess a doctoral degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a field of study appropriate to the particular degree program.

Christian Commitment

Faculty teaching at Bryan College in any capacity is expected to be able to articulate a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, able to give unqualified support to an evangelical Christian position, and a supporter of a local church by conviction and practice.
