I am a writing consultant, editor, and homemaker. I live in North Georgia with my husband, David, and our fish, Irkle. I love to read, write, edit, sew, cook, and garden, as well as serve at our church. God is doing some wonderful things in my life and I am very excited to see what He has in store!
My name is Elisa Whitlock. I am a 5th year senior in Bryan’s traditional undergraduate program, majoring in English secondary education. I have been a writing consultant in the on-campus Writing Center for the past three years, and I absolutely love it! What I enjoy most is pushing other students to the best of their abilities. I want to meet you where you are in your paper and help you get to the next level. We can talk about brainstorming, thesis statements, organization, and punctuation and grammar – as well as whatever else you might be concerned about. No matter what, I want to do my best to give you the tools and assistance you need to succeed.
I transferred to Bryan from the College of the Bahamas, and this is my second year as a tutor. My favorite subjects are anything to do with languages, stories and myths. I love the two-way street that tutoring provides because both the consultant the client can walk away having learned something new or having improved themselves at the same time. Fun Fact: I have evidence that pizza is one of the healthier foods out there.
