Allison Jones, '09 English Lit and Communication graduate Allison Jones, '09, chose Bryan because upon first visiting, she felt like she “had come home.” While uncertain as to what career field to pursue, she knew she enjoyed literature and writing, and so focused her studies there. Read more » |

Alumni of the Year Don and Connie BlantonDon and Connie graduated from Bryan College in 1976, Don with a degree in biology and Connie with a degree in elementary education. Don taught high school for 10 years before beginning his career in the insurance and investment business. In 1994 he founded MoneyTrax, Inc., a company dedicated to the development of innovative communication tools for professionals in the financial services industry. Connie was an integral part of the business and ran the office for several years. Today, Don is a nationally sought-after seminar speaker, addressing the top financial planners in the country who use his unique communication style and tools to work with their clients. Don and Connie have given back to Bryan College in many ways. They conducted a Love and Money seminar for students on campus, and have hosted alumni, friends, and students in their Atlanta home. Don and Connie have been married for over 35 years. |
Young Alumni of the Year Matt and Kelly RogersMatt and Kelly Rogers are 2005 Bryan graduates. Both earned degrees in communication arts. Since their graduation Matt and Kelly have opened Macville Productions, a full-service video production, post-production, and video camera rental agency in Knoxville. At least one weekend each semester they volunteer their time and equipment to teach a class and help advanced film students make films, encouraging them to perfect their craft. In addition, Matt shot and edited all the films for the 2011 Presidential Briefing, the 2012 Presidential Briefing, and the most recent college overview film. Kelly’s involvement in the business has been cut back somewhat since the birth of their twin daughters, Amalie and Grace, in 2011. |
