Dear Parent,
I am pleased to send you our 2008 Summer Basketball Camp Brochure at Bryan College. We are excited to meet and serve the young athletes that come to our camp.

If you want your child to learn the game of basketball and valuable lessons about life, then our camp is the place to begin.

We hope your child will learn discipline, confidence, determination, and self-control throughout the week while developing friendships with other campers and coaches also.

Camp Schedule

  • 9:00-9:15 – Stretch
  • 9:15-9:45 – Ball-handling Drill
  • 9:45-10:15 – Shooting Stations
  • 10:15-10:30 – Break
  • 10:30-11:00 – Individual Move Stations
  • 11:00-Noon – Competitions
  • Noon-1:00 – Lunch
  • 1:00-1:15 – Stretch
  • 1:15-1:45 – Ball-handling Drill
  • 1:45-2:15 – Shooting Stations
  • 2:15-2:30 – Break
  • 2:30-3:30 – Individual Move Stations
  • 3:30-4:30 – Competitions


What each player will receive

Important Information

  • Check in: 8:30AM on Monday of the first day of camp
  • What to wear: Shorts, t-shirt, and non-marking basketball shoes
  • Misconduct: Failure to obey camp coaches or counselors can result in dismissal from camp (without refund)
  • Discounts: To more than 1 from the same family, or group of 5 or more that sign up together
  • Awards Presentation: will be at 4:00pm on the last day of camp
  • Attendance: contact the Camp Director if your child has to be dismissed early from a session

Coaches

Camp Director: Don Rekoske


Coach Don Rekoske Coach Rekoske is in his 21st season as a coach. He has been a head coach at the high school and college levels. He has worked camps throughout the country including University of Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Northern Iowa, and Minnesota, and ran camps in 7 different states.

The camp philosophy is based on individual player development that focuses on the offensive fundamentals of the game of basketball. Each player will be given extensive teaching on shooting the basketball, developing individual moves, ball handling and basic team play principles. Throughout the week, Biblical principles will be taught and integrated into the camp.

Assistant Director: Matt Schock


Coach Matt Schock Coach Schock is in his 9th season as a coach. He has been an assistant at the high school and college levels. Coach Schock has worked at five-star basketball camps and was the camp director at the high school where he was an assistant. He has worked camps at UTC and University of Tennessee.
