Importing the Root Certificate

Bryan College I.T. Services uses a third-party security certificate authority, namely CA Cert, for securing network communications including eStudent, eFaculty, email, and more.  While your web browser may inform you of security certificate warnings if you do not install CA Cert's root certificate into your browser, your information is still secured.  You may follow the instructions below to install the root certificate and remove the warnings in your browser.

Installation for Internet Explorer

  1. In Internet Explorer, please go to http://www.CAcert.org/index.php?id=3
  2. Click on Root Certificate (PEM Format)
      
3.  Click "Save" and save it to the desktop
    
4.   Click "Allow"
     
5.   Click "Install Certificate"
    

6.   Click "Next"
     

7.   Select "Place all certificates in the following store"   
   

8. Then click "Browse"
9. Then check the box marked "Show Physical Stores", select the "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" and click "OK".
 

Installation for other Browsers

If you use another browser please follow the instructions on CA Cert's website.
