150 Years of Christian Encounters with Darwin
Directed by the Center for Origins Research (CORE)
February 27-28, 2009
In the fall of 1859, Charles Darwin's Origin of Species began a transformation of biology, science itself, and ultimately all of Western culture. His "species theory" especially challenged the traditional Christian doctrines of creation. Some Christians reacted with outrage, while others welcomed Darwin's ideas. Join us as we explore widely different Christian encounters with Darwin.
All seminars are free and open to the public and will be held in Rudd Auditorium. For more information, click the above links or call 423.775.7277.
