Department of Exercise & Health Science
The Department of Exercise & Health Science provides the content knowledge and skills for prospective physical education, health, and sport professionals, preparing such students for careers in fitness, athletic training, teaching K-12 PE, and other health and wellness-related professions, and supports the institutional demands for health and personal development.
Welcome to the Bryan College Exercise and Health Science Department.
The department offers two majors: Exercise & Health Science, and Exercise & Health Science with Physical Education K-12 Licensure. Each of these majors prepare students to become competent professionals in a variety of health, fitness, and sports professions. In some cases, additional certification will be required before a graduate can begin his or her professional career, but the programs prepare students to take - and pass - those certification exams.
In addition, all three programs prepare students to evaluate ethical issues in the profession and make decisions about issues from the perspective of a Biblical worldview.
Bryan's Department of Exercise & Health Science Department offers students a challenging education in their chosen field, real-world experiences where students can put into practice skills they learn in the classroom, and personal attention from instructors who are dedicated to their success.
We believe that a degree from Bryan College, with its commitment to a Christ-centered education, gives our students a unique opportunity to impact the world for Christ. We invite you to look closely at our department and see if Bryan's Exercise and Health Science program is right for you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Dana Kennedy
